PRPA Annual Outing
The 2024 Outing will be held on June 7-9, 2024 in Saskatchewan at Waskesiu Lake in the beautiful Prince Albert National Park. This year’s host club is the Saskatoon Camera Club.
Waskesiu Lake, nestled in the boreal forests of Northern Saskatchewan, with its’ surrounding beaches, trails and streams, is a beautiful setting for capturing incredible landscapes, sunrises, sunsets and wildlife galore! Time spent in Prince Albert National Park is time well spent!

We are pleased to share with you the itinerary for the upcoming Prairie Region of Photographic Art’s 2024 Outing in beautiful Waskesiu, Saskatchewan. We look forward to seeing everyone who has registered for the event and hope that you will enjoy the area and all it has to offer!
Please NOTE that during Saturday’s lunch banquet and awards presentation we will have a raffle table set up displaying several items generously donated by various local companies and individuals. Tickets will be sold for the raffle items at a cost of 3 tickets for $5.00 or 8 for $10.00 (cash only). You will use your tickets towards a chance to win the items through a draw. Distribute them amongst all of the prizes or use them all to try to win your favourite – your choice!

Friday, June 7, 2024:
3:00 pm – Room set up at Hotel
4:00 pm – Registration
7:00 pm – AGM meeting with snacks
8:15 pm - Presentation “A Park for All Seasons” by Bob Ferguson
10:15 pm - Night Sky Shooting (free time)
Saturday, June 8, 2024
3:45 am – Depart from Hawood for Sunrise Shoot with Bob Ferguson (vehicles required – carpooling suggested)
7:00 am – Breakfast in Kingsmere Room
7:30 am - Board meeting
8:00 am – Morning for exploring Park
12:00 pm – Lunch Banquet & Awards and Showmanship Competition
3:00 pm - Afternoon free time
6:00 pm - Evening group picnic – bagged meal, main beach picnic area (optional)
6:30 pm - Free time evening shooting
9: 30 pm - Sunset over the main beach with Bob Ferguson
10:00 pm - Free time for night sky shooting

8:00 am - Room takedown, etc.
9:00 a.m. – Free Time for registrants for remainder of day
